With the start of the new year, comes new anticipated publishing dates. And with many people's new year's resolution being to read more, I thought- why not kick off the year with some books to-be published in 2025?
Today, we will be reviewing a couple of books I'm excited for in 2025. Although there are many more books, these are just a couple I personally am excited for.
Expected to publish July of 2025, The Collector of Burned Books is a historical fiction piece about World War II. The characters feature a woman who oftens reads at a library in Paris, that houses books that have been burned or exiled from Germany. As well as a German man who becomes and unwilling soldier, and is tasked with eliminating such books from Paris.
I am excited for this book because I don't often read historical fiction. I also think that it's a good topic to be able to explore and discuss through the medium of historical fiction. I think it would be a great book to read in a group and discuss the themes and ideas throughout.
Expected to publish in May, Jen Turano's book is also a piece of historical fiction, mixed with some romance. The book is about a character named Drusilla Merriweather, who has nearly lost all of her privileged life, and plans to open a finishing school in order to provide for herself. However, the castle she has inherited seems to be haunted. Additionally, Drusilla seems to be falling for the architect who is intent on helping her out.
I am excited for this book because of the elements of romance as well as historical fiction. I hope that it will be a fun book to read. I think all the different elements it brings will keep it interesting and face-paced.
Set to release the 4th of March, Every Deadly Suspicion is about a police chief who believes her father killed an FBI agent and two suspects. However, with his health failing, her father is set to be released and she takes up his care in hopes to finally crack a cold case.
I love mystery books, so I am always very excited to read something new, especially different from classic authors. I am excited for this book because it seems like a good mystery with lots of different aspects to it. I have also never read a book from this author before, so I am excited to see what she has.
Next Week...
Next week, I will be covering a couple of things from small authors. We hope to work with more small authors in the new year and grow our community. I will also be covering some of my favorite resources for authors, since I am in the process of writing my own book.
Thank you for reading!
